Zibi Launches New Advertising Campaign: “Zibi is Colonialism”

i wouldn’t usually post a windmill press release, but it seems that they’ve decided to be more honest.

Zibi Launches New Advertising Campaign: “Zibi is Colonialism”

Ottawa, June 6 2016 – Windmill Development Group and Dream Unlimited Corp. (TSX:DRM) today launched a new advertising campaign.  The campaign is an effort to make real our commitment to working in friendship and good faith with the public.

“We’ve been shamefully disingenuous about our motives.  Honestly, we’re developers, and the  Zibi project is about making money.  If this project wasn’t financially viable, then it wouldn’t matter,” said Jeff Westeinde, founding partner of Windmill Development Group. “If we weren’t making millions of dollars for ourselves, and for our shareholders, then we wouldn’t be doing this,” he continued.
The planned construction of the world-class Zibi project, situated on Albert and Chaudière islands in the Ottawa River, will continue the rich history of non-native Canadians stealing Algonquin lands for their own benefit.

In 1800, Philemon Wright, the first developer to stake his claim to the area, arrived and began building on the stolen Algonquin land.  He built what became a small town, and started the lumber industry that was primarily responsible for the destruction of the old-growth forest in the region, and the dispossession of the Algonquin people.  Today, Windmill and Dream Unlimited Corp. (TSX:DRM) are proud to continue his legacy.

“The history of these lands, that’s the soul of development,” said Westeinde.
